Not only did they not test for transmission or infection, they didn't test for any of those things.
but what's really important here is what she says.

That doesn't mean understanding what's going on with medicine.
It doesn't mean understanding what's going on with health,
public health,
global health,
pandemics,
anything like that.
It doesn't mean anything medicinal or anything like that.
It means they had to move very, very quickly to make as much profit as possible “…to understand what was going on in the market.”
It was all about sales, pure and simple.
That's what has always been going on.
It was never about health.
It was always about wealth.
