“The World Wide Web shrank the world to our fingertips, but sadly we then let our screens shrink us to scale.” -Me
What do I mean by that?
Well, the World Wide Web brought all of humanity, our sum total of knowledge and capability for imagination into a user friendly device at our fingertips. Any question we had, could be answered if you just looked hard enough. I have cured my own terminal cancer, seen the reality of what my government is doing in my name, and found friendships all around the world through this box.
But what do I mean by “…shrank us to scale?”
It took over our ability to see things for ourselves. Now all news, current events, and happenings are produced, curated, and fed to us through a 45 to 75 degree field of vision flatscreen. We have lost the periphery, the before and after, and the natural context of the info we are swallowing whole.
Here is an example, and I do not believe I have heard anyone else make this point-
What differentiated those who fell for the covid illusion from those who didn’t?
I would say that the ones who doubted the experts, refused the jabs, and violated the guidelines where the ones who never stopped going outside and talking to other human beings. We experienced the reality of the situation while those who hid indoors and watched their screens in terror only experienced the produced reality. Outside, there was no pandemic, no new plague, no cause for concern. That was all a production. Indoors it was 24/7 welcome to the terrordome.
How could the World Wide Web go so wrong?
Simple answer- It didn’t. The WWW1 was a loose network of computers and mainframes all over the world, joined by wires and protocols that allowed for all forms of communication and data uploads. Then the Internet2 came online, publicly. It was a DARPA project built to ensure the USA could end all life on Earth, even with 99% of its population being nothing more than shadows on the walls at the time of our retaliatory launch.
We were given the internet and its very specific protocols for free by our benevolent masters and we never questioned it. We also never questioned when the Pentagon total awareness system Lifelog3 morphed into the Hot or Not rip off social network Facebook4. We had even less questions when all search engines and browsers became dependent upon another intelligence community project, Google5.
Although many phases had to be completed to get to where we are today, we did eventually arrive where we are today. A planet where the majority of people believe a fictional reality which is streamed straight into their eyes, everyday, by their greatest enemies.
Every event is designed to make you hate your neighbors, isolate, and grow more dependent upon the feed to teach you how to survive in this terrifying and brutal world. The reality is, if you go outside today and walk all around your city, you will meet people with much the same opinions as you hold, who are remarkably approachable and similar to yourselves. You may get mugged, but you are getting mugged every day you stay inside and outside you might make some friends or find someone you want to mug. Who knows, but I do know it is better out there than it is inside.
How can I say this so confidently?
In my lifetime, I have been a hacker, a web developer, and an expert on cyber information architecture. I have also been a web reputation manager, which means for a select part of the world, I created the reality that others saw and came to believe about people and businesses. I did on a small scale what the internet itself was repurposed to do globally. I know how it works.
On a more identity level, check it out- I am a leftist trans who has marched with antifa, yet I disagree with everything you are told the left, the trans movement, and antifa believe in according to the Internet.
Cutting the genitalia off kids is at the very least child abuse and should prosecuted as such.
Censorship is wrong in every form and for any reason.
Civil liberties are more important than community goals.
Taking the opposing side to Trump is neither liberal nor an effective way to work for the benefit of the common man.
Unless you felt frustration and anger at Colonel Klink for not catching Hogan’s Heroes committing their crimes at the end of every episode of that show, then you too are anti fascist. It means being opposed to totalitarian systems of oppression, not affliction with Trump Derangement Syndrome.
We are at a crossroads where we must decide which way humanity is destined to evolve. One path is dark and terrifying, the other is hopeful yet equally terrifying. How can we make sure we end up on the right path? Go outside. Talk to some people. See what they think. Keep doing that everyday until you see the entrance to the hopeful path well within your rear view mirror. Keep doing it anyways.
