I went ahead and corrected the title for them, but this type of “fully fictional, yet presented as non fiction” journalism is pervasive, not only through out all of the sciences, but also world news, US news, and current events reporting. Hell, even the weather coverage is problematic. Not so much in the numbers they give but in their comparative interpretation of historical weather reports1. (To clarify that, the same exact temperature reported as a normal summertime high in Europe 20 years ago is now a record breaking extreme high of global concern.)
The article I’m reviewing here is truly a standout for how badly a topic can be covered and how far from reality any reported results can possibly travel prior to publication.
This a programmed simulation. It was not created by scientists looking to discover something new. It was written by programmers with a set of parameters based on their current understanding of the physics of a black hole, a phenomenon which has yet to be proven to exist. Black holes are a theory used to explain observed anomalies in space. There is zero evidence of black holes other than the effects they have on their local area of spacetime, observable by us only via the photons that go through that area en route to the Earth. Honestly, to say that we have a limited knowledge of the situation being modelled is an incredible understatement.
All simulations suffer from GiGo, in direct proportion to the lack of known info on the subject. Garbage in / Garbage out is the rule , not the exception when it comes to models and simulations. You need to know everything about something to simulate it accurately. Otherwise all you are doing is running a program to enforce the perceived accuracy of whatever theory you are modelling at the time.
Simulations and Models can not discover or prove anything. Due to the inherent flaws involved in recreating something that you do not have full knowledge of on hand, these are at best tea leaf predictions made with a great deal of seriousness and confidence, both of which are based solely on the tea leaf reader’s previous success in convincing others that they were doing science in earlier fake experiments.
Allowing a reporter to cover a topic that they have zero knowledge of is always a bad idea. Seriously. there are journalists with PHDs in physics, mathematics, etc. Although degrees shouldn’t induce any immediate trust in the article, they do seem to be a way to get better written articles on any subject. (To clarify, one can not do physics of any kind without solid high level math skills. At a bare minimum anyone reporting on physics should be able to understand the equations involved. The reporter of this article, does not have those skills and that fact bleeds through all of this to allow them to write that humans created a black hole in a lab that got brighter. None of that happened. )
The end result is obviously an error in the coding. They ran multiple simulations and only one of them resulted in this phenomena, do doo dododo. (I apologize, but I can’t even think of the word without finishing the antecedent/consequence rejoinder.)
My point in all of this is- don’t ever read any news report or scientific report without first considering what is possible and what is not possible using the technology and knowledge base of those running the activity, experiment, simulation etc.
A couple examples where the vast majority of our society has utterly failed in doing this.
Pandemic related RT/PCR testing- This technology is incapable of determining if a person is ill2. All it can do is make a visual amount of a given substance. Every cycle takes the substance further from its true form by creating an imperfect copy. Any cycle threshold over 25 can make any thing into anything. It was meant to be a tool used under very strict conditions to analyse otherwise imperceptible bits contained within larger amounts of other things. It should never be used as a diagnostic tool. Simple fix, stop using it as such.
Election Integrity- Can the machines be hacked remotely? Yes3, although the law clearly forbids installing any kind network card, most of these machines have multiple network cards installed. The presence of a wired or wireless connection to the system negates any potential claim of security. In order to secure any system, it must have zero port connections into it, contain no external recording devices of its own outside of its intended purpose, and it must be air gapped outside of the audio and visual range of any other device. Fairly basic flaw with an extremely easy fix that as far as I know, has never been suggested by an election official in this country. Since we know they are not supposed to be in there, why does no one ever investigate who put them there and why?
Try to keep all of this this in mind when consuming the news and you will start to see clear patterns in news reporting on a wide variety of topics. These patterns are intended to give a false sense in or belief about the topic in order to use your incorrect knowledge on that topic to the advantage of someone somewhere at some time in the future. Who, when, and where, I can not say, but I significantly doubt that the improper education will be to your advantage in the long run.

I like this perspective and actually learned a lot of how to "decipher" any journalism by MSM dealing with foreign policy. (back in the mid 80s I began that exercise). Needless to say since that time there has arrived a point where very little of value is uttered by the political and medicall classes. The PCR scam during the plague was just brutal in its criminal misuse as well as the death protocols employed at tthe various healthcare facilities. ("killing fields" ).
One of the unfortunate successes of our masters’ strategy is how well they understood the return on investment from capturing the most expensive real estate in the world—the American mind. They have captured it lock, stock, and barrel. As a result, many citizens who would be appalled by the violence of a simple mugging..... scarcely bat an eye at the horrific violence inflicted on mostly poor people around the world by the military-industrial complex in the name of protecting American interests. They have succeeded in persuading a beguiled citizenry to accept empire at the cost of infrastructure, education, healthcare—virtually every standard of living—as being in the citizens’own best interest. It boggles the mind.
Yes! This has been my pet peeve. Media/news reporting on scientific studies way too often bear hardly any resemblance to the actual study. Great example, thank you.
