I realize I have not posted in a bit. I was busy getting this to market…

I’ll fully admit that I am as surprised as anyone else that I created this, even though it took me about 5 years to do it, from beginning to submitting to Kindle. It will be coming out in both soft cover and hard cover on the same day as the Kindle is released, Easter Sunday 2025. It has not passed review yet to be available for presale in physical copy, but I expect no problems with the review. It is automated and all lines are original so even though it is a translation of a much older book, it should not be a problem to publish. The Kindle version passed review almost immediately.

Edit: All versions have been approved. They will be available for presale in the next day or two with Kindle at $5.99, the softcover at $12.99, and the hardcover at $21.99. The funny part is that given these wide discrepancies of price, my cut is the same. $2.14 for each version. So, no difference to me in what anyone buys and the Kindle cannot be resold competitively. I really hope everyone buys the cheapest version.

I’m also trying to get the Book of Genesis - NIRV published to Kindle and physical copies by Easter Sunday this year as well. Then by Christmas I am hoping to have the Book of John - NIRV, the Book of Job - NIRV, and Revelations - NIRV all published. I am about half way through each at present and a book takes me roughly 3 months if I work on it constantly (Read as every bit of time I’m not working for a paycheck.) So, we’ll see if I can actually pull that off.

The Birth of Jesus

Oh, listen up close, I have quite the story,
Of a baby quite small, but destined for glory!
His mother was Mary, so gentle, so fair,
And Joseph, her love, with kindness to spare.

They planned to be married, oh yes, it was true,
But before they could wed. Well, what a to-do!
For Mary, dear Mary, had news quite divine,
A baby was coming! But wait. "Was he mine?"

Joseph was troubled, “Oh, what should I do?
This wasn’t our plan. This simply won’t do!”
He wanted to part, to quietly go,
But being kind-hearted, he took things slow.

Then whoosh! in the night, as he lay in his bed,
An angel appeared and here's what he said:
“Joseph! Oh Joseph! Son of great Dave!
Fear not! Fear not! Be strong and be brave!

For Mary, your Mary, she tells you no tale,
The child she carries is holy and hale!
The Spirit has placed him inside her, you see,
A gift to the world. Oh yes, yes indeed!

A baby will come, and you’ll name him just so,
Call him ‘Jesus’. And remember, don’t woe!
For he will save people, from sin and from strife,
Bringing them hope, and bringing them life!”

And just as was spoken, in days of old,
A prophet had said. This story was told:
“A virgin will carry, a child so bright,
Immanuel! ‘God with us’. A wonderful sight!”

Then Joseph sat up. Oh, what did he do?
He did as he should, as the angel said to!
He married dear Mary, brought her right home,
And promised he would never leave her alone.

But he waited, yes waited, so patient and true,
Until Jesus was born. What a moment, or two!
And there in that place, so quiet, so mild,
Joseph looked down and named the sweet child.

“Jesus!” he said, with joy in his heart,
And Heaven and Earth felt not so apart!
