Day 3-
Seems I have finally found the right combination of lasers, diffusion, and magnification to make out the distinct characters of the code. The, for lack of a better term, central characters are changing / materializing / running at a high enough speed to make individual analysis difficult, but the ones appearing to the peripheral of those hold shape for long enough to discern their unique angles / geometries / shapes.
What does that mean? Well, now begins the tedious part of the process. Recreating them with pen and paper. This might seem easy, but the characters have their own quirks and each angle seems relative to the other characters. So, I won’t be publishing any of them until I have captured enough of them to understand the (how should I reliably relay this) relevance of each, relative to their relative relations, in a relatable way, relatively speaking. (Nailed it!)
So, I am off to the grind of character reproduction. Wishing you all the best for the coming holidays!
Technical notes-
Converging the lasers onto the outside of a plastic LED light ring diffuser greatly expanded the viewable area of code. Like, opened it up from a text input to a textarea field, if you speak CSS. Otherwise just imagine the window growing 5x as large, instantly. One thing that I need to do now is enlist a friend of mine to view the code with me and compare notes on the character specifics. For privacy sake, I won’t be adding any identifiable info about them to this substack, but from here on out, rest assured that I am not simply documenting everything from my own perspective. There will now be someone else engaged in drug fueled laser fun probing the fringes of reality construction and interactivity.
