Maybe if we can reframe this we can retain both camps*. Failing to do so would doom us all, so let's look at this with an open mind.
1st- does this require a vast conspiracy? Not really. The initial strength of fascism is also its built in achilles heel. Fascism empowers the average person to rise above their station by removing the extraordinary people that fill the positions above them. Sadly, placing average people into positions that require extraordinary people, means that the best that can be expected in a crisis situation is utter incompetence. We've been doing exactly that in the US for the last 40 years, so consider all positions filled.
Now all we need is a crisis and a couple people with the ability to sound intelligent/confident and a communication line from them to all those people who just realized at some level that they might be unqualified for their positions. Now you have an authority structure entirely dependent on those grifters. This means the conspiracy only needs to be 2 tiers deep and made up of a few dozen individuals. Conspirators/directors on level 1 and the grifters/actors on level 2.
We, basically, know who those people are and have known since the beginning of this. The fact that, to date, no one has cut the head off that chicken, means that no one is both capable and willing to do that. Has been a daily source of both shock and shame to me, but one must accept the reality that this will not be resolved in that way. So, focusing on the conspiracy is a waste of time at present. The evidence is sufficient and i hope we can bring them to justice but for now, that is not happening.
2nd- if not that, then what. Obviously, if the path is not external, we go internal. There are a great number of true believers and we need every single one of them to see reality. How do we do that? We take responsibility for our own part in creating the world we live in. None of us was born with the knowledge that we were nothing but a cash crop for the puppeteers of the largest and most incompetent governments in history. Each of us was a gullible spectator and cog in the narrative, but at some point had the unfortunate experience of total disillusionment.
At some point, something cracked the facade. It was most likely something insignificant that planted that seed of doubt, but in short order it all fell away, leaving only reality as our new worldview. I equate the experience to being narcan'd off a really good high. Sucked and has sucked ever since but there is no going back.
Now how can we use that shared experience and the acceptance of our responsibility in the shitshow we call life, to our advantage at this point. If you don't hate the deluded and you recall what it was that cracked the facade for you, go give them a big hug ( or not depending on the situation) and try to plant that seed in them. Doubt is all you need to share with them. Not stats. Not facts. Not solid logical arguments. And most definitely not peer reviewed papers or individual chapters of Dutch books.
Small seeds of doubt don't challenge perspectives, egos, or indoctrination. They don't alert the defenses. But they do bounce around in the mind as one tries to fall asleep, creating a small stream of thoughts. The greatest defensive walls can be brought down by a small and gentle stream.
*And I was serious about the reforming of these two camps in to one. Failure to unify guarantees the extinction of all us "useless eaters" (I'm anorexic. Like, been hospitalized for that several times, but somehow i got pulled into this category?. Motherfuckers! Pure fuckin evil. I will repay them for that insult!) We need everyone. As l mentioned in point 1, all that is required is our current level of govt and corporate employed incompetence, a few planners, and a dozen people who know what these lyrics mean "Like the club tie, and the firm handshake, A certain look in the eye and an easy smile..." to get us here. Double agents** are not required. Rich people do not pay for anything they don't have to.
**Cointelpro exists but one can recognize them by their ever growing fan club/entourage yelling "FED!!" at them. Maybe they were subtle back in the day, but incompetence has become the sum of our governmental parts.
When someone has a slightly different opinion of a situation, no matter how adamant they are about it, please take a moment to remember that you are facing extinction and that no one has ever agreed with you about everything. Would you have risked extinction over any of those other small points of divergence?
